Mary J. Donahue of Holbrook, died Monday, March 18, at home surrounded by her family. She was 84. Mary was the wife of the late James M. Donahue. Born in Cork, Ireland, Aug. 25, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Reagan) O'Riordan. She left Ireland in 1953 and settled in Cambridge. For many years, Mary worked at Harvard University. She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Church and a member of the Josephine's. Mary also enjoyed taking annual trips to Ireland. She was the loving mother of Eileen Donahue of Braintree, James Donahue and his wife Sheila of Braintree, and Michael Donahue and his wife Shelaga of Norwell. She was the sister of William O'Riordan and his wife Mary of Somerville, Jeremiah O'Riordan and Charles O'Riordan of Cork, Ireland, Patricia Maher of Manchester, England, and the late Eleanor Ring and Margaret Dwyer of Cork, Ireland; loving grandmother of Brendan, Julia, Rory, Laura and Lisa. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 S. Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook, Friday, March 22, at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Saint Joseph Church, 153 S. Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
