BARTON Mary Irene Family and friends of Mary Irene Barton were saddened to hear of her death on Thursday, May 14 at the age of 92. Born in Vancouver on March 25, 1917, she celebrated her 67th wedding anniversary with her loving husband Edgar (Ed) in February. For over fifty years she dedicated her time and energy to her God Jehovah, and to the community in teaching the Bible's hope for the future. She is survived by her husband Edgar, sons Richard (wife Peggy) and Donald (wife Denise), her grandchildren Rob (Loretta), David (Liza), Chris (Amber), Lori (Sky), Shawn (Mandy), and her great-grandchildren Adrian, Matthew, Dustin, Paul, and Ashley; by her brother Bill Fairburn (Iris), along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother John Fairburn (Leone). A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, May 23rd at 2:00 pm in the afternoon at 2790 West 3rd Avenue (at MacDonald Street), Vancouver.
