OSBORNE, Mary Hazel - Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Versa Care, on Tuesday July 21st, 2009 at the age of 81. Beloved wife and best friend of Kenneth Osborne for over 65 years. Loving mother of Diana and Syd Marshall of Paris Ontario, Wayne and Marg Osborne, and Sue and John Hamelin, all of Brantford. Cherished grandmother of Shane (Violetta), Ray (Teresa), Katy (Glen), Mike, Kevin (Christie), Sandy (Jenn), Brandy, Heather (Jerry), and Andrew (Emily). Treasured great-grandmother of 15 great- grandchildren. Dear sister of Edwin and Charlotte Simpson of Winnipeg Manitoba. Predeceased by her parents Catherine and Malcolm Simpson, brothers Robert and Ronald, and a sister Jean. Hazel will be remembered for her love of bowling, her talents as an avid canasta player, and her years of passion for the craft of ceramics. The family will receive friends at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. N., Brantford on Thursday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment Oakhill Cemetery, Brantford. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in Hazel's memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Parkinsons Foundation, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
