OWENS, MARY HARRIET - The death of Miss Mary Harriet Owens of Robar Ct. occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 17, 2008. Miss Owens was born in Saint John on March 13, 1917, a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Annie S. (Cullen) Owens. She had been employed at the Gagetown Post Office as Assistant-Postmistress and later as housekeeper for the late Father Joseph Daly. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Women's League and had been active in many church functions. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by several cousins; and special friends, the McKinney and Murphy families. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joachim's Church on Monday morning at ten o'clock. Entombment will take place in Fernhill Vault with interment in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Gagetown, in the spring. www.fitzpatrickfh.com January 19, 2008
