MARY HALL BARRETT, 90Piano Accompanist LAKELAND - Mary Ethel Hall Barrett, 90, passed away on March 14, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to respiratory failure. A native of Mulberry, Florida she attended Mulberry High School and was a member of the Gray Panthers. She spent many years actively supporting the Kathleen High School band program as a piano accompanist for the many soloists who performed at the district and state level. As a member of the First Baptist Church, she was also active in playing piano for both the children's choir and Sunday school classes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Cleon Barrett and grandson Brian Fairchild. She is survived by her three children: Ronald Barrett of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, Joy Holme of Weeki Wachee, FL, and Carolee Fairchild of Wesley Chapel, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Teresa, Debbie, Barrett, Tom, Chris and John and by eight great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Burial Park. A memorial will be scheduled to celebrate her life at a later date.
