HADDEN _ Mary Delphene (Doran), born on June 16, 1927 died after a courageous battle with cancer on July 9, 2003 in Nanaimo Hospital. She is predeceased by her parents Bob and Jim Doran. Mary is survived by her husband Bill, her aunts Anne Anderson and Laura Wierzba, many cousins and numerous loving friends. Mary was born and lived in Jasper, Alberta until her move to Nanaimo, BC in 1982. Her loving nature and zest for life touched every person that knew her. Mary's love for the outdoors led to a life of wonderful adventures; horseback riding, cross-country skiing, hiking, and golf at which she excelled. During the winters in Arizona, her time was spent painting and working on many different crafts. Mary's positive attitude and sense of humor has carried her through her difficult times, setting a great example for all of us to follow. A celebration of life service will be held for Mary on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 2:00 p.m., at Sands Funeral Chapel, One Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, BC. Mary will be laid to rest following a service in Jasper, Alberta on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m., at the Jasper United Church at the corner of Turett and Miette.
