Mary-Geraldine McGee, born in 1920, spouse of Harold J. Thomas, daughter of Frank and Theresa, mother of Eugene, Denise, N. H, Joseph and Carol, died on June 24, 2005 at 85 years old.
TEWKSBURY -- Mary Geraldine (McGee-Laliberte) Thomas, 85, died Friday, June 24, at Tewksbury Hospital after a lengthy period illness. She was the wife of Harold J. "Bud" Thomas, who died in 1999.She was born in New York, May 18, 1920, daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Stowell) McGee. She lived most of her life in Lowell and Tewksbury, where graduated from Lowell High School, and later graduated from Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing. She also lived in Dayton, Ohio for 10 years.Mrs. Thomas worked as a nurse and later as nursing supervisor at Tewksbury Hospital. She also worked as an orthopedic nurse in Ohio. She was a communicant of St. William Church in Tewksbury.She was active at the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center, and was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club.Her survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene "Gene" and Denise (Dykeman) Laliberte of Plaistow, N.H., and Joseph and Carol (MacDonald) Laliberte of Tewksbury; four grandchildren, Michael, Gene, Nichole and Ashley Laliberte; a brother, Francis McGee; and many nieces and nephews.She was also sister of the late Theresa Gillette, Anna Quinton, John, Robert and James McGee.
