BROOKVIEW, N.Y. Mary Galligan Hick, died on January 29, 2004 at her home in Brookview. She was born in Norwich, Conn. to Gertrude Murray Galligan and William Patrick Galligan Sr. She was married on June 18, 1947 to Basil L. Hick, a native of Sullivan County, N.Y. He predeceased her. Mrs. Hick was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and Norwich Business College. She also attended George Washington University. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Hick worked in the Social Security Department in Baltimore and in the U.S. Education Department and in Air Force Intelligence in Washington D.C. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude T. Galligan of Norwich, Conn.; her daughter, Patricia C. Hick; her son-in-law, John B. Prince; and three beloved grandchildren, Bowen B. Prince, Honora C. Prince and Ella E. Prince, all of Brooklyn, N.Y. She is also survived by her special nephew, Thomas H. Galligan Jr., his wife Lois R. Galligan; and their daughters, Mrs. Hick's great-nieces, Eric E. and Eileen E. Galligan, all of Raleigh, N.C. Survivors also include many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers, William P. Galligan Jr., Robert J. Galligan, Thomas H. Galligan Sr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Norwich, Conn. Burial will follow in Maple Wood Cemetery, Norwich. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, N.Y., Saturday 4-7 p.m.
