August 4, 2005 Mary G. Hoyt, 71, of Marcellus, died Thursday at Community General Hospital. Born in Utica, Mary moved to Marcellus in 1958. She worked many years as a nursery school teacher at the Marcellus United Methodist Church. Mary was an active member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church and worked at the Marcellus Senior Citizen Lunch Program. She was an avid reader. Her twin daughter, Elaine M. Darling died in 1991. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Wilbur; four daughters, Robin (David) Chalifoux; twin daughter, Elizabeth Hoyt, Suzanne Hoyt, and Lynn (Michael) Swee; son-in-law, David Darling; one brother, David Garvey; one sister, Kathryn Kemner; five grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Services will be Tuesday 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus.
