Mary Frances Walden, 81, Bradenton, died Aug. 5, 2005, at Hospice House of Bradenton. She was born May 4, 1924, in Snead Island and was a lifelong resident of Bradenton. She was a beautician and a member of First United Methodist Church and The Rebekahs, serving as chaplain on the ritual team. She was active with the Cripple Creek Cloggers and portrayed comedian Minnie Pearl in area shows. Survivors include daughters, Elaine Adreason of Bradenton and Suzanne Bewley of Canton, N.C.; sisters Flossie B. Dolan and Marian B. Anderson, both of Bradenton; brothers Perry Bailey and Floyd Bailey, both of Bradenton; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, with a service to follow, at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel. Burial will be private for the family. Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 603 11th St. W., Bradenton, FL 34205; or to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
