Mary-Frances-Moore Maxwell, born in 1919, spouse of Fred-Glen Moore, mother of Joe C, Barbara, Billy and Vernon, died on July 5, 2009 at 90 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Elberton - Mary Frances Moore Maxwell, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, July 5, 2009. Mrs. Maxwell was born on April 15, 1919. She was married to Walter H. Maxwell in 1934, and they had 54 years together.She worked at Wright's Manufacturing, Elberton Blouse plant and Bowman Drug store for several years, and she as a life-long member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Fred Glen Moore, two children, Vernon Maxwell and Billy Maxwell, and one grandchild, Dennis Maxwell.She is survived by six children, Barbara Maxwell, Joe C. Maxwell,Gail Seymour, Mark Maxwell, all of Bowman. Sylvia Butler of Dewy Rose and Jan Oglesby of Elberton 18 grandchildren, Lynne Maxwell, Denise Maddox, Tony Maxwell, Diane England, Tami Finch, Mike Maxwell, Dean Butler, Jerry Maxwell, Terri Shaw, Donna Webb, James Oglesby, Denny Seymour, April Maxwell and Josh Maxwell. 35 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Moore; one niece, Suzanne Moore.Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11am at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Bowman, Georgia with the Reverends Michael Marcengill and Kenny Martin officiating. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rehoboth Baptist Church Building Fund.Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Frances Moore Maxwell.
