ALBANY Mary Frances Downey Miller, 99, died suddenly Friday, December 12, 2003 at the Atria Shaker Residence in Albany. Born in Troy on September 14, 1904, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Burns Downey. She was the widow of the late William Miller who died in 1995. Mrs. Miller was a resident of Troy for most of her life and was educated at St. Peter's Academy in Troy. She was employed for over 50 years by the former Cluett Peabody Co. in Troy as a floor clerk, retiring several years ago. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Troy. She was the sister of the late Edward J. Downey, Thomas Downey and Salley Cotter; sister-in-law of Marjorie L. Downey of Troy; aunt of Edward J. Downey Jr. and his wife Laurel of Webster, Mass.; great-aunt of Kelly, Katie, Laurel and Kimberley Downey and Robyn Martini. She is also survived by several dear friends. The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Doran Funeral Home, 9 South Lake Avenue, Troy and 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 4-8 p.m.
