July 6, 2006 Mary Frances Hanley, 85, of Camillus, NY, died Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Community General Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, NY, on December 26, 1920, and graduated from Vocational High School in 1938. She was a dynamic, multi-talented personality and was a lifelong artist and athlete who excelled at golf, tennis, bowling and archery. In her youth she learned how to fly and achieved her pilot's license. She was an independent thinker and depression survivor who encouraged her children and beloved granddaughter Gabrielle to follow their dreams and never be afraid of hard work. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Hanley, in 1990. Surviving her are four children, Carol Hanley-Mott (Charles) of Onondaga Hill, Linda M. Hanley of Hull, MA, Barbara Johnson (Bruce) of Ballston Spa, NY, and David W. Hanley (Sandy) of Gordonsville, VA; and her three beloved grandchildren, Gabrielle of Syracuse, and Logan and Becca Hanley of VA. The family would also like to extend their thanks to her loving caregivers, Renay Elias, Lynn Hubbard and Bev Lundy; and to Dr. Justin Bertrand and Dr. Louis Wasserman and his staff, along with compassionate staff of 3 west and 6 west. In lieu of flowers charitable contributions may be made in her name to Community Hospital Foundation whose gentle and loving care guided Mary in peace to her final rest. Family services will be held at a later date his summer. Arrangements are by Edward J. Ryan and Son, Inc.
