Crawford, Mary F. AYER, Mass. Mary F. (Putnam) Crawford, age 85, wife of the late Francis D. Crawford, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer. She was born in Revere, November 11, 1921, daughter of the late Russell F. and Abbey G. (Young) Putnam and had been a Billerica resident for 46 years before moving to Burlington three years ago. Mrs. Crawford had been employed as a machinist for General Electric and had worked in sales for Kmart and the former Grant's in Billerica. She had also worked for Minuteman Home Health Services, driving elderly to their appointments into her 70s. She played piano and enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, reading and poetry. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Dana R. and Marlene Crawford of Delmar, N.Y.; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and William Duane of Westford; and four grandchildren, Krysta Crawford and Christopher, Jason and Sean Duane. She was also the sister of the late Grace Johanson. A funeral service will be held Saturday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hour from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
