Mary Etta Brown, 82, Springfield, Mo, formerly of Piggott, Ark, passed away on July 23, 2008, at the Springfield Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 1, 1925, in Piggott, Ark., and graduated from Piggott High School in Ark. and Draughn Business College in Springfield. Mary worked for 20 years at Lily Tulip Cup Corporation and retired in 1988. She married James (Jack) W. Brown on June 17, 1948, in Springfield, Mo., and was a member of Immanual Baptist Church. Mary's parents, three sisters, and a brother proceeded her in death. Mary is survived by her husband Jack Brown; children, Richard and Lisa Brown, John and Bev Brown, James and Becky Brown, Russell and Janna Brown all of Springfield, and Paul and Debra Brown of Aurora, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Chris, Kyle, Renee, Eric, Josh, Carly, and Ian. Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South on July 25, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, on July 26, 2008, at 1 p.m., burial to follow in Highlandville, Mo.
