<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Mary Emmalene McCormack, 93, widow of Edgar Preston McCormack, died Wednesday, April 22, 2014. Born May 10, 1920 in Labuco, Alabama she was the daughter of the late Lana H. Summerlin and Tressie McBee Summerlin and was pre-deceased by a sister Katherine in childhood. She and her husband moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 1989 to be closer to family. Here they became active members of Disciples and then Covenant United Methodist Churches. One son, Michael Lanny McCormack and his wife Lynn Thompson McCormack of Simpsonville, survive her. As well as three grandchildren, Sherri McCormack Lamm (John) of Simpsonville, Julie McCormack Hanners (David) of Clarkesville, GA and Michael Lanny McCormack II (Christy Rowe) of Katy, TX. There are also eight great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. A private memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Graceland Memorial East Chapel.
