HAYES Mary Emma McCoy Hayes passed away November 28, 2010. She was born March 1, 1920 in Warm Springs, Georgia and moved to Jacksonville in 1942. Ms. Hayes was retired from J.C. Penney's and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Ms. Hayes is survived by: son Daniel (Lana) Hayes; grandson Derek Hayes; great-grandson Dylan Hayes; brother Milton McCoy; sisters Mildred McHale, Doris Eaton, and Carolyn Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Edward Hayes and several sisters and brothers. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage- Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 3, 2010 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
