CENTER BARRETT, MARY ELOISE SMITH, 88, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was a Metcalfe County native, homemaker, supporter of education in Hart County, KY, and a member of Center Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. Smith and Maple Jones Smith; her husband, Glen O. Barrett (1988); two brothers, Bill and Leonard Smith; and two sisters, Lottie and Dixie Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Barrett of Center; and numerous friends and cousins. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Center Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
