WYNNE Mary Ellen Wynne, age 74 of Stratford, the beloved sister of Margaret Wynne and daughter of the late William and Elizabeth McLoughlin Wynne, passed away peacefully in Bridgeport Hospital on January 8, 2011 with her family by her side. Mary Ellen was born in Bridgeport on July 19, 1936 and had been a Stratford resident for many years. She was a graduate of St. Augustine, Central High School and Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. Mary was a nurse at Bridgeport Hospital and had also worked in the private sector for several years. In addition to her devoted sister, Margaret Wynne of Stratford, with whom she resided, she is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by four brothers, William, Terrence, Francis and Thomas. The family would like to extend there gratitude and special thanks to Dr. David Jutkowitz, Dr. David Witt, staff at West Tower Cancer Unit at Bridgeport Hospital and the Oncology Nursing Staff at Park Avenue. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 15, 2011 at 9 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
