McCLURE, Mary Ellen (Mae) Crowley of Elmira, NY Mary Ellen (Mae) Crowley McClure, 90 years, formerly of Bridge St., Corning, NY, died Monday, July 24, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born April 11, 1916 in Elmira, NY, and the only daughter of William and Ella Gilner Crowley. She married Robert T. McClure November 6, 1939 at St. Casimir's Church in Elmira, NY, he predeceased her in 1970. Mae was an employee of the Corning/Painted Post School District, retiring in 1982. One of seven children, Mae was the last survivor of her family and their spouses as well as her husband's family of nine and spouses. She is survived by children, Barbara (John) Blickensderfer of Philadelphia, PA, Marianne (Edward) Lecker of St. Mary's, PA, Robert (Mabel) McClure of Canastota, NY, James (Carol) McClure of Elmira, NY, Joan (Charlie) Payne of Corning, NY; also grandchildren, Bryan (Rachael) Johnson, Steven McClure, Julie (Mike) Monahan, Crystal Payne, Shelley (Jeff) Lancaster, Marycathryn McClure and Rebecca McClure; great-grandchildren, Rachel Mitcheltree and Taylor Johnson; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by granddaughter, Diane Johnson in 1984. Mae was a member of All Saints Parish, attending St. Vincent de Paul Church. Friends may call at the Haughey Funeral Home, 216 E. First St., Corning, NY, Thursday July 27, 2006, from 4-7 p.m. A Prayer Service will be offered at the funeral home Friday, July 28, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Corning, NY. Committal Prayers and Interment will be held at the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Corning, NY.
