Mary Ellen Lane of Whitney Point Miss Mary Ellen Lane, 70, of Whitney Point, passed away Tuesday, April 24th, 2007, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, N.Y. Born in Peckville, daughter of the late Francis and Helen Kiefer Lane. She was a graduate of Archbald High School and Marywood College. She was a teacher at Bainbridge-Guilford High School, Guilford, N.Y., and retired from Whitney Point High School, Whitney Point, N.Y., where she worked for over 35 years. Surviving are a sister, Arlene Gilgallon and her husband, Frank, Archbald, Pa.; a niece, Tama Baluta and her husband, Dell and their children, Marni, Meaghan and Ryan, Lake Orion, Michigan; and two nephews, Martin and Brian Gilgallon, both of Archbald. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald, Pa. Interment at Archbald Cemetery, Archbald, Pa. No viewing.
