JOHNSTON, S.C.- Services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Black McGee, age 90, will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Philippi Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bland Funeral Home Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Phillipi Baptist Church, c/o Mark Fallaw, 203 Pine Knoll Lane, Edgefield, SC 29824. Mrs. McGee, a native of Saluda, died Friday, September 24, 2004. She was a daughter of the late Fletcher and Bertie Minick Black, was a homemaker and a member of Phillipi Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Roy McGee, Mary Frances Taylor (Bill), Lexington, Joyce M. Gunter (Legare) Cayce; son, Charles Marshall McGee (Beverly), Johnston; sisters, Dorothy Hare and Annie Lona Bedenbaugh, both of Saluda; grandchildren, Pam Steele, Jan Rinehart, Jenny Yarborogh, Tracy Sanford, Dr. Ashley Charles McGee, Angela Fallaw, and Alison McGee and five great- grandchildren.
