Mary-Elizabeth-Weitman Miller, born in 1919, spouse of Paul Weitman, daughter of Clyde and Ida-Mae, mother of Betty Jo, Paul Neal and Az, died on August 14, 2003 at 84 years old.
-> Springfield - Mary Elizabeth Weitman Miller, 84, died Thursday, August 14, 2003 at Effingham Extended Care Facility. Born January 22, 1919 in Effingham County to Clyde and Ida Mae Thompson, Mrs. Miller. She was a graduate of Egypt High School, secretary for the University of Georgias Effingham County Extension Service Office, and author of the book, Practical Fishpond Management. She was an active memeber of Bethel Lutheran Church, the Garden Club, and the Lutheran Womens Society. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Weitman, a sister, Saralyn Arnsdorff, and a brother, George Thompson. Survivors: husband, James Thalious Miller of Guyton; one daughter, Betty Jo Roach, of Tifton; one son, Paul Neal Weitman of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; one step-son, Thad Miller of Guyton; two step-daughters, Ann Pryor of Newington and Judy Miller of Savannah; six step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2003 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Pastor Paul D. Hanson will officiate. Burial: Church Cemetery.
