PONS Mary Elizabeth Reddish Pons, 78, of Tallahassee died peacefully in her sleep, Monday in Tallahassee. A native of Jacksonville, Mary was a life long resident of Tallahassee. She worked in politics for the past 40 years. Funeral Services will be Friday, 2:00p.m. at Bradfordville First Baptist Church with visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Beggs Funeral Home, Apalachee Parkway Chapel. Burial will be at Meadowwood Memorial Park. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, John O. “Jack” Pons; 2 sons, Jackie Pons and Joe Pons of Tallahassee; 2 daughters, Terry Benson and Mary Jac Stephenson of Gulf Breeze; 7 grandchildren, Dr. Bryant Benson of Springfield, MA, John Benson of Peachtree City, GA, Dr. Elizabeth Flinn of San Jose, CA, Kristy Pons of Tallahassee, Kasey Stephenson and Kari Stephenson of Gulf Breeze and Alexandra Pons of Tallahassee.
