Homemaker AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Newman King, entered into rest Sunday, March 16, 2003. She was the widow of the late Mr. Verdery King. Graveside services will be held today, March 18, 2003, at 3 p.m. at the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. L. Gordon Robinson officiating. Family members are one son, Stan Davis, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Joyce Bednarski, Aiken and Mary Nell Chason, Grovetown; two sisters, Ethel Underwood and Corinne Bailey, both of Augusta; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. King was born in Matthews, a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
