MURRAY Mary Elizabeth Murray, 85, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2003 in Melbourne, FL. Of the Baptist faith Mrs. Murray was born in Green Cove Springs, June 27, 1918 and became a resident of Jacksonville, FL in 1947, relocating to Melbourne in 2001. Mary dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, she was a gracious and unselfish lady who brought joy and love to her family. She was known to be a true nature lover, working with her flowers, and dearly loved animals especially her cats and her cockatiel of 20 years. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and a wonderful friend, she will be dearly missed. Survived by her son; Kenneth W. Murray (Tara) of Middleburg, daughter; Carol Murray McCormack (Richard) of Melbourne, brother; Julius Martin of Charleston, SC, daughter-in-law; Lucy Murray, grandchildren; Kimberly Connelly (Bill), James A. Murray, Dawn Moore (Jeff), Robert, Emily and Rebecca Murray, great grandchildren; Ashton Yorek, Blake Connelly and Hunter Moore, along with several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her husband Edward " Ed" F. Murray and son, James " Jim" E. Murray. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Pons Family Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 16, between 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. in Wednesday, September 17, in the Chapel of Pons Family Funeral Home, Reverend Calvin Childers officiating. Internment will follow at Jacksonville Memory Garden Cemetery.
