->Moriarty, Mary Elizabeth (McCabe)Rochester: Mary Elizabeth Moriarty passed away peacefully on June 7, 2011. She would have been 94 on July 27. Born on Decatur Street in Brooklyn NY in 1917 to John Joseph McCabe and Elizabeth Jane Swift McCabe, both of Fermanagh County, Ireland, Mary graduated from Bishop McDonnell HS and then worked as a bookkeeper in Manhattan for Elizabeth Arden, Baby Talk Magazine and the Photostat Company. On August 26, 1944, she married Lt. J.G. Lawrence Robert Moriarty at Breezy Point NY, where Mary spent summers. After the war, Mary and Larry moved to Indiana (LaPorte and Elkhardt), Erie PA and to 48 Belview Drive in Rochester in 1966 where Larry worked for EPA. Along with raising her four children, Mary worked part time as a bookkeeper and loved playing cards, needlework, bowling and traveling, especially to her beloved Ireland. She was a long-time member of St. Cecilia's Ladies Guild and volunteer at Rochester General Hospital. In 1994, Larry and Mary celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, shortly before Larry's death in 1995. Mary was survived by her four children (Lawrence Robert (Lorraine) of OH, Regina Elizabeth (Brenda Hynson) of VA, Kevin James of MD, Timothy (Brenda) of Rochester), five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many friends, especially at the Woodlands where she spent her last years. Services were conducted at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church on June 10. Mary was buried next to Larry in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
