Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" McQueen, age 89, of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Scott McQueen and the Rev. Zak McQueen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 4, 2011, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.Mrs. McQueen was born on December 26, 1921, in Gainesville, to the late Jesse Anglin and Annie Mae Pennington Anglin. She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith; she attended The Lighthouse of Prayer in Cleveland. Lizzie was known as "Granny" to all that knew her and loved her. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
