Mary Elizabeth Kling 25 January 1918 - 27 April 2014 MARY ELIZABETH KLINGMary Elizabeth Kling (nee Booker), dearly beloved widow of Dr Samuel Kling, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in her 97th year in Edmonton.She is survived by her four children, Gordon (Anne) of Cape Town, Joan (Bob) Fortune of Phoenix, Janet (Jim) Bond of Vancouver, and Allan (Tecca) of Toronto; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.Mary was born January 25, 1918, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, where she met Samuel during her school years. They were happily married for 64 years. Mary graduated with a BA in Home Economics from the University of Toronto. Her first love was creating a home in Edmonton for her husband and family. A resident of Canterbury Manor in Edmonton for the past eight years, Mary spent most of her life on the Prairies and was a devoted wife and caring mother who enjoyed golf, skiing, bridge, and traveling hither and yon to visit her family. Mary was a real "trooper", and her determined nature and indomitable spirit will be missed by all who knew her.A celebration of Mary's life will be held at Robertson-Wesley United Church, 10209 - 123 Street NW, Edmonton, on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10:00 am.
