KEEN Mary Elizabeth, 96, of the Pine Run Community in Doylestown, PA died Sunday July 26, 2009.Born in Big Run, PA, she was a long time resident of Tenafly, NJ before moving to Yardley, PA and has resided at Pine Run for the past 10 years.Mrs. Keen was an Early Childhood Teacher, who began her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse and retired from the Englewood School District in New Jersey. She was graduated from the Indiana Normal School and William Paterson College (NJ).Daughter of the late Charles and Esther Mock Schwab, she was the wife of the late James G. Keen and mother of the late Carol Stepper. She is survived by her son-in-law, Martin Stepper; two grandchildren, Jana Elizabeth Stepper and Davyd James Stepper, and a niece and her husband, Margaret and Roger Getz.Funeral services will be at 10 AM Wednesday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Friends may call from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
