Mary Elizabeth Jordan, 49, died July 18, 2007, in St. Augustine. She was born in Stuart and lived there for many years. She graduated from Martin County High School in the Class of 1977. She worked for more than 18 years at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club in the Culinary Department as a pantry cook, and also worked at Pipers Landing, both in Palm City. Survivors include her sons, Freddie and Christopher Jordan, both of Stuart; father, Nathaniel Jones Jr. of Baxley, Ga.; brothers, Glenn and Eddie Jones, both of Port St. Lucie; half-sister, Oretha Williams of Waycross, Ga.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Ruth Carter-Jones; and husband, Freddie James Jordan. SERVICES: A funeral service will be 11 a.m. July 24 at St. Paul AME Church, Stuart. Burial will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart. Arrangements are by Thorne's Mortuary Inc. of Stuart. A guest book may be signed at www.thornesmortuary.com
