Jones, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) GREEN ISLAND Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Jones, 86, of Green Island, died on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy. She was wife of the late John P. Jones. Betty was the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Smith LaBoissiere and resided in Green Island most of her lifetime. She was a homemaker and communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Green Island. Betty is survived by her sister, Constance Green of Nev.; her sister-in-law, Hilda Jones of Watervliet; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Adalaide, Ethel, Caroline, Edward, Chester and William. Funeral services will be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services. The family would like to thank the staff at Samaritan Hospital ICU and her aide, Nancy, for the wonderful care given to "Aunt Betty."
