Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Mrs. Hughes, who died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born April 24, 1926 to Walter Lee Richey and Angie Beck Richey. She was a nurse at Flint City Nursing Home and a homemaker.She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeakel Hughes; two daughters, Jewel Harvey and Faye Carey; and her parents.Survivors include three sons, Roger Glenn Hughes of Hartselle, Larry Louis Hughes of Decatur and Connie Ronald Hughes of Madison; one daughter, Theresa Hughes Hanes of Hartselle; one brother, W.L. Richey; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be family and friends.
