Mary Elizabeth Hayes, a lifetime Peekskill resident, died on Thursday, February 7, 2002. She was 70 years old. She was born in Peekskill, NY, the daughter of John E. and Elizabeth M. McCaffrey Hayes. She was a graduate of Peekskill High School. Ms. Hayes was a communicant at Assumption Church, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Third Order of St. Francis, Graymoor. She greatly enjoyed reading and music throughout her life. One sister, Regina Panzanaro, and one brother, Patrick J. Hayes, both of Peekskill, survive along with several nieces and nephews. Ms. Hayes is predeceased by one brother, John E. Hayes, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 11 at 10:30 am at Assumption Church, Peekskill, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery. Visiting at DORSEY-CARLONE FUNERAL HOME, Peekskill, on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
