Hall, Mary Elizabeth MIDLOTHIAN, Texas Mary Elizabeth Hall, 78, passed away on August 24, 2007 while traveling in the western United States. She was born in Beaumont, Texas on January 23, 1929. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Hall and is survived by her three sons, Michael L. Hall and wife Linda and children, Lindsay, Leigha and Logan of Albany, N.Y.; Timothy O. Hall and wife Pat and children, Lauren and Brett of Midlothian; and William M. Hall of Dallas, Texas; sister, Almeda Robinson of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends. Mary and husband Bill moved to Dallas in 1970 where she worked as a nurse for many years. In 1991, she moved to Hideaway Lake near Tyler, Texas where she lived until 2003 when she moved to Midlothian. While living in the Tyler area, Mary served as a courtesy officer and staff member for five years at the Smith County Court House where she stood on the courthouse steps each morning and greeted the city with "Welcome to Tyler. What's your dream?" Mary had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her love for old movies, music, singing and her innate ability to tell stories from the past. Mary was a very proud OU mom. A memorial service will be held on September 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church of Midlothian.
