FLANAGAN RN Mary Elizabeth "Bette" Flanagan RN age 83 beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Flanagan of Stratford passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport November 22, 1926 daughter of the late Carl and Marie Baron Hermes. Bette was a Registered Nurse for Bridgeport Hospital and retired from the Methadone Clinic in Bridgeport. Survivors include her children Michael Flanagan of Milford, Brian Boru Flanagan of Bridgeport, John Flanagan of Dillon, CO, Diana Flanagan and her husband Tom Harris of Los Angeles, CA, Carol Salthouse and her husband Roger of Stratford, Sheila Flanagan of Milford, Lisa Garcia and her husband Jaime of Glenside, PA. Thirteen beloved grandchildren and four cherished great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday July 30 at 10:30 a.m. from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, Lordship for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Visitation will be Friday from 9 am to 10:30 am in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Bette's memory to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT 06108.
