COLES Mary Elizabeth Coles, age 81, of Bridgeport, died Friday, February 25, 2005, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Born in Pittsylvania, Va., Mary had been a resident of this city since 1945. Her last employment was as a presser with Jacopian Cleaners in Stratford. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. A son, Thomas Coles Sr., predeceased her. Survivors include her husband, James F. Coles; three sons, Clarence, James A. and Charles M. Coles; three daughters, Geraldine E., Theresa T., and Bernice T. Coles, all of Bridgeport; a sister, Bertha Redd of Virginia; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Morton's Mortuary, Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, with the Rev. Dietra C. Bell, Pastor of Bethel C.M.E. Church, officiating. Interment will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to attend the viewing Tuesday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
