Mary Elizabeth Brooks, 95, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2003, at Regency Health Care Center. Elizabeth was a retired Jefferson County elementary school teacher who taught at Prestonia and Okolona elementary schools. She was a member of and an organist at Little Flock Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. Survivors include her brother, Ernest Brooks, one niece and seven nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona, with burial in Hebron Cemetery in Shepherdsville. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may go her church's building fund.
