Mary-Elizabeth Bergh, born in 2008, spouse of Phillip Bergh, died on August 10, 2008 at 92 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
BERGH Mary Elizabeth (nee Wood) Born in Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on August 10th, 2008, at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband Phillip, her sisters Jackie (Agnes) Goldstein, Minnie Fulljames, and brother George. Survived by daughters Madeline Bruce and Beverley Ross, son Gordon (Joan) of Gibsons, B.C., brother Tom and sister Joanne Bedggood, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends Lois and Geraldine Ross. Mary was an LPN, trained at VVI, and worked at Marpole Infirmary as well as VGH. Earlier she worked at Woodward's Restaurant, and Stanley Park Pavillion, where she met her husband Phil, (and spilled tea on Errol Flynn). She had a cabin built on Lasqueti Island, and enjoyed living the simple life there, on her own, for several years. She enjoyed swimming in the ocean well into her eighties. She worked hard all her life for her family, was a fine cook and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Our thanks to the nursing staff of the Christianson Village in Gibsons, for their years of tender loving care to our mother.
