(nee Brown). We announce with great sadness the passing of Betty on Thursday May 22, 2003 in her eighty-second year, with her family by her side at the A.R. Goudie Eventide Home in Kitchener, Ontario. Betty, beloved wife of the late Cyril Penny (1969), loving mother to her son Peter and his wife Carla, and her daughter Dianne and her husband Steve Ashmole. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jason, Chris and Lyndsay. Friends will be received at the Westmount Funeral Chapel 1001 Ottawa Street S. (at Westmount Rd.) (519) 743-8900, on Sunday, May 25, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 305 Laurentian Drive, Kitchener, on Monday, May 26, 2003 at 2 p.m. Private interment to be held at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
