<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Oct.4, 1942-Oct. 28, 2014 Mary Elizabeth Andry (Pugh) was born October 4, 1942 in Movico, Alabama and peacefully passed on October 28, 2014 at her home in Chastang, Alabama. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, McCoy Pugh and Bernice Walker Pugh, and twin sister Martha Evelyn. She married Harold Andry in June of 1962 and moved to California soon after. She was called to work with young children, first in California and then again when she returned to Mobile at Bishop State Child Care Center and Head Start in Bayou La Batre. She was affectionately known as "Miss Mary" by many. A firm believer in education she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mobile at the age of 55. She was a faithful member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary St. Benedict de Moor, Court #2 and the St. Katherine Dexel Society. She graduated from Rosa A. Lott High School. She leaves behind her dedicated husband of 52 years, Harold X. Andry; her daughters, Mary Andry-Redmond, Carol (Curtis) Andry-Hixon and Patricia (Greg) Andry-Jennings; her grandchildren, Savannah, Evan, Quinton, Morgan, Sarah; her brothers and sisters, George (Ruth) Pugh, Jewell (Cain) Felder, Charles (Nettie) Pugh, Raymond (Gloria) Pugh, Cora (Michael) James, David (Sandra) Pugh, Cherry Pugh; her great aunt, Genevieve Hubbard; her aunts, Verna Chastang, Juanita Dees; her uncle, Letroy Pugh; her brother-in-laws, Curtis (Mae) Andry, Milton (Jessie Mae) Andry; sister–in-laws, Marietta Andry and Sister M. de Pazzi; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be November 2 from 5-7pm at Reese Funeral Home in Prichard, AL. On November 3 visitation will be from 10:30-11:30am followed by a funeral mass at 12:30pm at St. Peter's Church in Chastang, AL.
