After retirement she continued to contribute to education through her service as a school board trustee. She was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Oromocto where she was a lector, a former Sunday School teacher, an R.C.I.A. sponsor and a long serving member of the C.W.L. Among her many community involvements over the years were those with the Oromocto Public Library, the Girl Guides of Canada, the New Brunswick Home and School Association, and many charities. Scottie had a true zest for life. It was evident in her devotion to the children she taught, the family she raised, and the church she served. Scottie will be missed tremendously.
