Mary E. (Donahue) McIntyre, 70 years, of Boston, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly June 14, 2010. Born, raised and educated in Boston, she was a daughter of the late John and Grace (Quirk) Donahue. Mary moved to Brockton in 1967, where she resided until 1995. She then returned to Boston and was a resident of Savin Hill Apartments until her death. She enjoyed dancing, Country Western Jamborees, ceramics, bowling, gardening, long car rides on warm rainy nights and visits to Castle Island. Mary was an avid storyteller who enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Mary was blessed with a loving nature, a generosity of spirit and a zest for life. She maintained her positive and hopeful attitude until her death. She is survived by three children, Michael McIntyre and his wife Mary Kay of Reading, John McIntyre and his wife Sheri of Brockton and Deborah Basse and her husband Albert of North Easton. She also leaves a special nephew, who was loved as a son, John Jack Donahue of South Boston; nine grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Amanda, Jessica and Mackenzie McIntyre and Cheryl, Brittany, Alexa and Albert Basse IV; a sister, Jeanne Connolly and her husband Mike of Norton; many nieces and nephews; and her former husband, Donald F. McIntyre of West Roxbury. She was the sister of the late Robert, Edward and Sonny Hunt. Funeral services were held June 18. Arrangements were made by Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St., Brockton.
