Mary-E. Maxwell, born in 1935, spouse of William-E. Maxwell, daughter of Daniel and Marguerite-Zeller, mother of Sean, Laura, Daniel, Kelly, William, Marybeth, James, Patrick, Janice, Michael and Christine, died on June 10, 2006 at 71 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
ALBANY Mary E. McGraw Maxwell, 71, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Marguerite Zeller McGraw. She graduated from Cathedral High School, Albany Medical Center School of Nursing and attended Maria College. Mary lovingly raised 11 children and at the age of 33 began her nursing and education career. She was a nurse in the cardiac care unit of Albany Medical Center for 34 years. She earned the respect and love of her co-workers and patients through her compassion and great dedication to her calling as a nurse. Mary was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, a member of Elks BPOE 49 and volunteered her services as a nurse with local 106. Wife of the late William E. Maxwell, Sr. ; mother of Christine (Eugene) Molitor, Michael (Melissa) Maxwell, Janice (Christopher) Kirker, Patrick, James, Marybeth Maxwell, William (Lisa) Maxwell, Kelly (Robert) Vickers, Daniel Maxwell and the late Laura and Sean Maxwell; sister of Bernadette (late Lester) Jones and the late Jane LaBarge and Daniel R. McGraw; sister-in-law of Marcia McGraw and Margaret (Frank) Hoban. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, especially Courtnie Kirker who cared for her grandmother; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends, Nancy Connors and Rita Fiscarelli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. Interment, Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
