Funeral service for Mary E. Martin, 87, of Anniston, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 - 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Martin died Thursday at her residence. Survivors include her son, Steve Martin and companion, Patricia Edwards, of Anniston and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her husband, C.D. "Bud" Martin, of Lincoln; brothers, Pat and Oscar Sides and sister, Helene Sides Worthy. Pallbearers will be Jerry Smelley, Morgan Williams, Gary Carter, Chase Fair, Lloyd Andrews and J.R. Burdette. Mrs. Martin was a native of Calhoun County and spent most of her adult life in Talladega County. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lincoln.
