Peacefully in hospital on Thursday, September 6, 2001, Mary Ethel Keyes, aged 85. Daughter of the late Russell and Bertha Keyes of North Battleford, Sask. Survived by niece Vicki Plouffe (Paul) and grandnephew Daniel of Ottawa; niece Mary Reddick Avey (Daniel) and grandniece Kelsey of Detroit. Predeceased by sisters Beatrice Briggs, Hazel Muma and Susan in infancy. Most of her working years were spent in Kitchener and Toronto as a writer, retiring from the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario. At the deceased's request, there will be no visitation or memorial service. After cremation, she will be buried in Sprucehaven Cemetery in Brinston, ON.
