Mary Elizabeth Hooper, age 80, of Tuscumbia, Ala., died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Ralton McCarley officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, of Tuscumbia.Mrs. Hooper was a member of Hook Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Estelle Dabbs; brothers, Harles Dabbs, T.H. Dabbs, Eugene Dabbs; and sisters, Dorothy Jones and Hazel Peden.She is survived by her former husband, John Hooper; sons, Doug Wiggington and wife, Dot, or Bowdon, Ga., and Stanley Hooper, of Tuscumbia; her daughters, Faye Heathcoat, of Muscle Shoals, Linda Fountain and husband, Bobby, Kathy Davis and husband, Johnny, all of Tuscumbia; brothers, Ray Dabbs, of Tuscumbia, Louie Dabbs, of Athens; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers are Russ Austin, Troy Glenn, Steve Heathcoat, Chris Wigginton, Ashley Heathcoat and Taylor Austin.Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia, is directing.
