Mary E. Dougherty, 87, of Endicott, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Anna Flack; guardians Jo and Bill Daley and her daughter in law Lucille Dougherty. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of over 67 years Harry A. Dougherty; her children Louanne Callender, North Carolina; Ned Dougherty and Tom Dougherty, both of Florida; Beth Braun, California; Kay Columbia, South Carolina and Jerry Dougherty, Syracuse; eighteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a cousin Edgar Conlon, Arizona. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Endicott, an active volunteer with the American Red Cross and past president of the Knights of Columbus Council 1839 Auxiliary. Funeral Services will be held Monday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Sunday evening from 5-8 pm. Expressions of sympathy in Mary's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
