Mary E. Carroll, 79, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2003. She was an 18-year docent at the Speed Art Museum. She was the beloved wife of John F. Carroll Sr.; mother of John F. Carroll Jr. of Louisville, Ann M. Carroll of Silver Spring, MD, Kathryn G. Carroll of Chapel Hill, NC and Joan M. Hunt of Chorleywood, Hampstead, United Kingdom; and eight grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at Cave Hill Cemetery at a later date. Foreman Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, is in charge of arrangements.
