CARPENTER, MARY E. "JEANIE," 78, of Louisville went to be with her heavenly father, Friday, May 25, 2012 with her loving children at her side. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and retired from G.E. after 25 years of service. Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Orville Joseph Carpenter Sr. Survivors include her six children, Sheila Sauer (David), Joe Carpenter Jr. (Jeanie), Chuck Carpenter (Janie), Donna Clark (Tony), Steve Carpenter (Diana) and Tony Carpenter; brother, Ken Montgomery; sisters, Dorothy Payne, Catherine Hurm, Rachael Adkins and Aggie Goodman; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Thornsbury (Dusty), Matt Sauer (Nicole), Megan Harris (Brandon), Chad Clark, Eric Carpenter, Whitney Sauer, Corey Carpenter, Miranda Carpenter, Kelli Carpenter and Brennan Carpenter; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Bramer Thornsbury. Her funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Burial: Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Monday at Arch L.
